Alex is an infectiously positive natural leader, with a clear focus – disrupt the current system and positively impact the world.  Alex’s unique range of professional experience mixed with his youthful energy to make a change put him in an ideal position to 'Be the (R) evolution’. 

Having majored in History at Pomona College, Alex was apparently well-equipped for either law school or rising up within the librarian ranks within the old paradigm.  Instead of following either of these trajectories, Alex veered left, and ventured into the world of private equity.  Alex spent nearly 5 years merging and acquiring businesses, successfully leading numerous co-investment opportunities and mastering the art of evaluating and growing businesses behind Excel spreadsheets and financial statements.  Being industry agnostic, Alex was provided access to learning the inner workings of all types of businesses and how to improve them.  Yet, even as he found a knack for business development and connecting people with capital, he couldn’t shake the feeling that even his wins (companies getting acquired) led to job loss, culture dissolution, wealth consolidation, etc.  Having been the point person for several top-tiered equity funds, Alex saw an opportunity to combine his experience and align it with his moral compass.  That occurred when Alex saw an unserved industry niche and decided to start his own boutique consciously-focused equity co-investment firm, Conscious Leader Movement (CLM) Financial.  CLM Financial concentrates on connecting forward-thinking, sustainable investors with companies that are disrupting and progressing their respective industries – being the (R)evolution.

In addition to his financial experience, Alex also helped co-found a consumer products good business, Positive Energy Beverages. Positive Energy – the first pure juice + natural caffeine product – created a proprietary non-GMO flavor blocker for the bitter taste of caffeine and the company since rolled out 7 unique flavors.  Responsible for all new business development, from retailer launches to building an impressive distribution list, Alex helped take Positive Energy from a start-up concept/brand (selling to mom and pop shops) into launches in major retailers such as Costco, Whole Foods, Sam’s Club, Albertsons, etc.  During Alex’s tenure, the company grew its sales and successfully secured several funding rounds.

However, in the process, Alex realized that his end goal of making a difference, and in a progressed way, would not be the win for Positive Energy.  The end game– selling to a strategic like Coca-Cola or Pepsi (given the funding source utilized) was indeed a potential big financial win for Positive Energy and, in turn, for Alex.  However, Alex did not see that as his ultimate path nor his ultimate win.  As a vested employee, Alex knew his bigger impact could be felt utilizing his skillset and experience to help progressive companies, and do it in the right way.

In addition to connecting companies progressing our human story with like-minded funding sources at CLM Financial, Alex functions as the CEO for MindPush, Inc. MindPush is dedicated to changing the current paradigm, providing business development and Conscious Consulting services for companies forward-thinking companies.    

Alex spends his free time practicing yoga, meditating spending time with his girls (wife and daughter) and exploring the unanswered questions of the cosmos.
